the late 1970’s and early 1980’s we produced around 20,000 quail
per year for shooting preserves. Originally, we watered the birds
using old-fashioned fruit jars with marbles and gravel. We spent
about two hours per day washing, cleaning, and refilling jars.
the early 1980’s, we began to experiment with nipple-type waterers
for newly hatched Bob White quail. These first waterers were
equipped with a small tank on the end of the tube, and the tank
required refilling several times a day. The results were
excellent, except for the time required to refill these tanks.
After experimenting with several concepts, we utilized a small
floatbox to control the waterflow to the waterer. We introduced
the nipple waterer to the gamebird industry in 1986 after several
friends who operated gamebird farms had used the waterers for two
years. These farms had increased their volume due to the time
saved from using the Nature’s Way waterers. Other benefits of
using the Nature’s Way waterers include healthier birds and ease
in administering medication.
Nature’s Way Waterers, Inc. is a
family-run business and has been faithfully serving the gamebird
industry since 1986. We value the friends and relationships we
have developed over the past 20 years and pledge to continue
serving our customers with the same dedication and reliable
service to both the small and large producers in the industry.
